Design & Decoration
High resolution EPS, Illustrator & PDF files in vector outlined format with embedded links and all text outlined is ideal. We will also often ask for PMS colour names of the colours used in the artwork to achieve the best print result or to match the colour of a product as close as possible to your branding requirements.
Yep, we sure do!
Don’t stress! We have an in-house graphics team to help.
Branding options vary from product to product. Many of the products we offer do allow for multiple branding positions, some free of charge and some at additional cost. Our sales team will be able to tell you all the options available for the products you select!
Yes, of course! We won’t start your order until you have signed off an Artwork Approval for each product.
Specify a PMS colour or send us a branding guide and we will do what we can to match the exact or closest colour possible depending on the product. Keep in mind, colours on screen will look a little different to the print result on different surfaces.
Four Colour Process uses CMYK inks (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black) to produce a full colour print of your artwork. This is ideal for artwork that uses many colours or includes gradients or photos.
Pad printing uses a printing plate with an etched image of the artwork and a soft silicon pad to “stamp” the artwork onto the surface of the product. This is often used on small products.
Sublimation uses heat and pressure to turn inks into a gas that transfers and penetrates into the surface of a product. Not all products can be sublimated. Common products include Microfibre Lens Cloth & Mugs.
Embroidery uses computer controlled sewing machines to reproduce your artwork with tightly stitched thread. Very fine details in the artwork can be difficult to achieve using embroidery. We will often offer embroidery on clothing items, headwear and bags.
Laser Engraving uses a laser beam to engrave artwork into the surface of the product. Typically used for metal and wooden products.
Screen Printing uses a stencil of the artwork using hardened emulsion on a mesh silk screen. The silk screen is then placed on the product and 1 colour of ink at a time is forced through the mesh using a squeegee to reveal the print on the surface of the product.
Blind embossing uses heat and pressure on an engraved metal block of the artwork to press into the surface of the product to reveal a 3D impression of the artwork.
Foil stamping uses heat and pressure on an etched metal plate to transfer colour from coloured foil onto the product, revealing the artwork in the colour of the foil.
Production & Timing
A Pre-production Sample is a proof sample or test of the selected product branded with your artwork prior to going into full production in order to confirm and approve elements of the product such as print colour and result.
Time permitting, yes we will arrange a Pre-production Sample on offshore orders. We also offer samples for locally produced orders at additional charge.
We try to produce your order in the exact quantity ordered, but when manufacturing offshore, this may not be the case, we need to allow for flaws in fabrics ect. For this reason, we have a 5% under and over policy.
Locally produced products typically take 2-3 weeks from art approval based on delivery to Melbourne Metro areas. Offshore produced products can take 10 – 12 weeks.
That’s our aim! We will work with your deadline and ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible. Sometimes unforeseen events can occur (eg: shipping vessels held back due to typhoons), but we will do our absolute best!
